THE pilot of a light aircraft has died in a crash in the state’s Mid North.
Police and emergency service crews were called to the scene of the crash at Washpool between Spalding and Jamestown in the state’s Mid North just after 5.30pm.
Initial reports suggested the single engine aircraft hit powerlines near RM Williams Way.
The pilot was the only one person aboard the plane. He died at the scene.
