Here's what I've been up to of late. The paintings are acrylic on stretched canvas and the drawings are sepia ink on 300 GSM drawing paper....

And this one, although not particularly 'aeroplaney' is significant to a 'sprite'ly Ppruner...

Has Torres moved on from Jag's to little spritely things now?

AS………outstanding works once again. I was wondering where you had gotten to. Glad to see the aeropaint works are in fine form

I should have some more for you later in the year too!

By gee, you haven't been idle, have you?
Some beautiful work there. Thanks for sharing.
When I get settled, I'll have to get a couple of prints from you.

Cheers.

Lovely painting of the Classic 'Queen'. In some ways nicer to operate than the 400, apart from the PMS computer.
Looks like a visit to the Manly Markets is in order.
I wonder if my girl will let me pull down one of her trendy 'sea view pictures' and hang up the Boeing?

Nope. Sold the 1966 E Type and 1993 XJ40 in August or September. Aye Ess made paintings of both cars for me, which hang on my wall at home.

The time had come to grow up, act my age, no more sports cars........... Until I found this little gem with only 29,000 kms on the clock:

The Mazda MX5 must be a very popular car, everyone admires it. Indeed, the day I bought it the coppers liked it so much they took a photo of it! Now they want $151 for a print of the photo!!

I'm off to get a mortgage on my house today. My boat has been out for a one hundred hourly annual inspection. I haven't received the bill yet, but I have the heart surgeons on stand by to treat my reaction......

Hello Alan....

Nice work. If you look at the Guild of Aviation Artists website, have a look at mine! (mostly gliders, of course)....I'm not clever enough to post them on PPRune....never mind!

Is the rego on that B200 VH-FDD Aye Ess? One of the loveliest King Air's I've ever flown. Do miss the old girl.

One day, I'll have to get you to paint me one of her.

Thank you everyone for your enthusiasm and encouragement....I love art that centres around man made stuff. Aeroplanes of course, but cars, buildings etc, rather than cute, fuzzy pelicans on the beach type of art...not that there's anything wrong with that...just not my cup of tea.
Mary...you do good work. I've only ever done two gliders, but enjoyed the graceful straight lines immensely.
Morno....yes, that is VH-FDD. Strange how we all attach ourselves to one aircraft. I painted VH-FDI. It now belongs to another RFDS pilot, because that was 'his' aeroplane..

I flew 2 VH-FDI's, the older 3 bladed version (which I'm guessing is the one depicted in that image), and then the new Proline 21 version. The old one had character, the new one just had fancy stuff .

I remember getting into the new FDI after it'd just come online, checked the M/R in the morning, think it had around 65hrs total time on it. The old one, it had too many numbers in the hours to remember .

Old FDI still lives on though, currently registered as FFI.
