Does anyone have any info regarding the current situation at AirNZ ie. movement, hiring, progression. It has been said that only internal (AirNZ regional pilots) applicants will be offered interviews for the foreseeable future (2+ years)? I was short listed last year(external applicant) but have now been told unlikely to interview for some time? I am trying to weigh up the pros and cons for AirNZ (when/if they recruit external pilots) vs contract flying around Asia or the ME. I am in my mid 30s with a fair amount of wide body F/O time and keen to spend the rest of my time based back in NZ (done my time offshore and now have a young family ) , but also wary of how long it could take to get an interview at AirNZ, and the time taken to get back into the Right seat of a widebody. Any info or advice is much appreciated. Cheers
