I see Republic of Korea is also involved and India has also offered.
Possibly up to 12 Aircraft involved today from 6 countries

Have never heard him called that before.
But yes, you are correct.
He is off to China soon, ? next month ?, it won't do him any harm
having had the Chinese Mil over here and helping them "look good".
They (the Chinese) seem to be quite polished in dealing with the media.
(Well, the Colonel in charge anyway, comes across very smooth and says all the right things).

Julia gillard could never pronounce his surname used to always sound like Me Rabbit
For those complaining about the cost, really have a look at yourself it will be a small extra spend over and above the already allocated budget and it is doing wonders for Australian PR overseas (we were leaders of the search for a period in all the worlds media). You can be sure if a similar event happened to an Aussie aircraft or ship in another nations waters, they would provide SAR. It is one of the best and few parts of 'world government' that works pretty damn well.

"and it is doing wonders for Australian PR overseas"
Leaders or not, it is only good PR because it has gone well and everybody is pulling together plus the media has been handled well.
