Anyone got any pics of the runway excursion today?

A van would make for an interesting site sitting there on its' nose

Coupla pics of NMV (blue) doing the rounds on facepalm and elsewhere, apparently happened at Elderslie. Story goes it ended up uncomfortably close to the fuel truck; fairly high on the list of undesireable objects to hit, I'd have thought?

I have the photo now, it ended up what looks like a few metres from the fuel truck, ouch!

If I was the refueller, I definitely would have jumped!

The tanker has quite a bit of long grass around it and appears to be not registered.......

When I was flying at Elderslie in 2000/2001 it wasn't registered then either.... and motivation for mowing the grass depended on how hard they'd been partying (which was usually pretty hard).

Doubt it's the same truck 14 years later, but.

Firstly I have never been into Elderslie and I was just wondering how does one manage to stick a C208 on it's nose so close to an obstacle (fuel truck in this case)? How far off the runway did it have to get to find itself in that position? I bet there is one pilot both cursing and counting his/her blessings at the same time!

I reckon that it's just a minor towing incident. A caravan's become dislodged from its towing vehicle, following a minor jack knife. Maybe someone didn't hook up the safety chains and the drawbar jumped off the 50mm towball?

And how about the CRT television behind the pilot's seat?
