GAM Air Operations Controller

This position is a Regular job advertised on AFAP. I do understand that its a Non Flying position, but why do people keep leaving the position?

Anybody have info on it?

If it's like every other GA company in the country, then probabily because it's the most overworked and stressful, yet under recognised and appreciated position within the company. I know I sure as hell couldn't do the job.

I wonder what they are paying. I'd expect well over $100k for that position. If you translated it to another industry such as transport / trucks etc you'd be looking at that much.

Perhaps people believe it may be a lead-in to a flying career... Like Ice Pilots for example.

The role used to be a leg up for CPL's gaining their hours to get a foot in the door on the shrikes. They primarily manage aircraft hours, cycling them through for maintenance and sorting out **** ups. The role could have diversified though.
