QF6 21 October 2013

I noticed a QF B744 (QF6) departing YPAD at 1020 this morning. Flight Aware shows it enroute YPAD YSSY then diverting to YMML. Ultimately arriving in Sydney at 1643.

The point I was making is QF6 is a daily SIN-SYD service, this particular flight experienced two diversions. From the Metars the weather in SYD would not have prevented landings.

No the landings wouldn't have been prevented, but the cluster that is ATC resources/ airspace/ ground movements may have created delays? They were operating ' low viz procedures' ( sydney style) there for a while on the 21st and some aircraft may not have the fuel to hold.
That may not be the case, but it is what I was offering as a possible scenario.
