FlightSafety builds the first King Air 350 and King Air B200 Interchangeable Flight Simulator | KingAirNation


LaGuardia Airport, New York (July 3, 2013) – FlightSafety International announces that it will design and manufacture the first interchangeable full flight simulator equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics for use in King Air 350 and B200 aircraft training. The simulator will also be used to provide differences training to operators of King Air 300 and C90 series aircraft equipped with G1000 avionics.

“FlightSafety is pleased to increase the support we provide owners and operators of King Air aircraft,” said Greg McGowan, Senior Vice President, Operations. “Building the world’s first interchangeable simulator equipped with Garmin G1000 avionics for use during training for King Air 350 and B200 aircraft demonstrates FlightSafety’s commitment to provide the highest quality training using advanced simulators that meet the needs of our Customers.”

The Garmin G1000 avionics suite installed on this new full flight simulator will feature the latest updates from Garmin. They include Synthetic Vision Technology; Chartview with Jeppesen charts; Terrain Awareness Warning System; Electronic Stability and Protection; Operational Weather Radar Traffic Advisory System; and Data Link weather through XM Satellite. The simulator will also feature FlightSafety’s latest advances in simulation technology including electric motion and control loading and enhanced VITAL X visual system.

The simulator is expected to enter service prior to the end of 2014 at FlightSafety’s Hawker Beechcraft Learning Center in Wichita, Kansas. Owners and operators of King Air 350 and B200 aircraft will be provided with model-specific courses. They will also benefit from FlightSafety’s new Operational DayFlow training methodology. This innovative, highly customized method of training transforms ground school by presenting critical procedures and tasks according to phase of flight.
