Light plane crash at Wagga Airport By ANDREW PEARSON

May 19, 2013, 3:07 p.m.
  • Paramedics take the injured pilot and passenger to Wagga Base Hospital.

Emergency services remain at the scene of a light aircraft accident at Wagga Airport.

Two people were taken to Wagga Base Hospital following the incident which happened at 11:30am.
The aircraft's pilot is in a serious condition with suspected spinal injuries.
Witnesses reported that the aircraft stalled while attempting to take off again following a heavy landing, causing one of its wings to hit the ground and flip the aircraft on its side.
Flights in and out of Wagga Airport have been unaffected by the accident, which occurred on the south-eastern side of the airfield.
Firefighters are working to ensure a small fuel leak remains under control.

It was actually 3 days ago mate.

This occurred this morning doesn't equal May 19, 2013, 3:07 p.m...

It was a Trike performing a botched go-around.

Press reporting and the public

Problem XXX, is that the general press does not discriminate between a trike, RAAus, GA or RPT - All are just "aircraft".

I am surprised that the Press did not describe the trike as one of them there 'hand-gliders'.
The firies must have been in an orgasmic frenzy working to control the fuel spill. Phew!

The all knowing press are letting us down here, they didn't call it a 'Cessna'!
ALL A/C that crash are Cessna's, they know that, the gen public know that now we know that!
