Sabre
Being a rumour network, does anyone have a rumour or update on the Sabre that was a month ago only 2 weeks from flying in country Victoria?
Also, how many of these babies are flying in Australia, is it just the one at Temora?

I have seen this one doing ground engine runs and also taxiing up and down the runway a couple of times, but that was a couple of months ago now. I have a video on my phone, but no idea how to post it, so bad luck.
I am wary of any specified dates with any resto project. Its close, but if there are still things to do, there can always be show stoppers, even if they are paper work ones.
This project is over 15 years in the process so a few more weeks or months will make little difference. Mr T has been very busy on this for some time.
And then there is the Dak..

Remember seeing one in a council shed some years ago in country SA, looked like all the bits were still there! Apparently the RAAF had loaned it to a local group but they had never been touched, just sitting idle in a shed at the back of the council depot!

There used to be one in a shed at Narromine airfield, one of the sheds right beside the road on the way to town. Would have been maybe 5 years ago.

E99,
You forgot Mustangs in Fawcett hangar, BOY and WAS. At least I think those were the regos, a long time ago now!!
Then there was DH82 FBX.
Sid Marshall had DC2 CDZ, Lockheed 10b ? and Anson ASM.
I think Ryan ST22 AGR came on the scene about then. I can't remember the Fairchild rego.
Fawcett (Illawarra) had a bunch of Auster J1Bs too.
Sorry for the thread drift! Yes, I know, a mis-spent youth.
