Just been checking the requirements for my next annual Med due shortly & I note that on the DME's risk factor Ref chart for the male v female the points scoring system is around twice for us blokes as it is for shielers in our 50's, sheeeez am comin' back as a gal next time:-) Obviously we blokes have twice the heart so we need twice the checking:-)
I also note that the penalty points for smoking (silly buggers you lot are!) starts at 30 yrs of age (4 points) So i guess smoke ya head off 'till ya 30 then ease it up a bit.
I love the bit on the CASA fees, for a reconsideration decision $150 bucks TY very much !:-(
I also note just out of curiosity that a class 2 which is allocated to flight rad operators & CP balloons (SPL & PPL as well actually) the validity period for the balloon drivers is 48mnth to 40 yrs of age then 24 mths to 60 then after that zip.............after 60 ya gotta jump out of the balloon as ya not supposed to be in there, well whilst in CMD:-)

Anyway it's always a pain in da ass for us class one drivers & can't wait 'till I get the wrong side of 60 (ATPL holders)where it's twice a year!

Stay healthy out there:-)

Hey Wal,

Re..."Anyway it's always a pain in da ass for us class one drivers & can't wait 'till I get the wrong side of 60 (ATPL holders)where it's twice a year!

'Tis 'mucho betterer' to have to do the 'jumping thru the hoops', than NOT being able to....

Oi don't mind...keeps me 'that' much further away from the alternative....
(Cold & Dark....some say. Others....)
