Using FAA AC 43.13-1B Change 1

1. ApplicabilityUse of FAA Advisory Circular (AC) 43.13-1B Change 1 (FAA AC 43.13-1B) as

approved data where there is no other approved data for minor repairs on nonpressurised

areas of civil aircraft as allowed by CASA Approval CASA 63/13.

2. Purpose
To outline the use of FAA AC 43.13-1B currently at Change 1 as approved

data for minor repairs to non-pressurised areas of civil aircraft.

3. Background
FAA AC 43.13-1B Change 1 has been approved as acceptable data to use

without further approval under Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR)

Subpart 21.M for minor repairs in non-pressurised areas of civil aircraft.

Yes, certailny cleared up the ambiguity.
No need for Part 21M modification for simple repairs.
