REX-Regional Express in AU

I haven't heard a lot about this company but I am eager to to know a few things.
How is the working conditions these days?
How is the roster and how bad is the pilot shortage or is there no shortage?
Which of the different bases is best to live at?
Would it be a good working place to come to and moving all the way from Europe with Wife and Kids?

Would be happy for up-to-date information and not posts from many years ago.

Thank you.:

The conditions seem a bit suspect.
I haven't seen any other Aus regionals advertising for DE in the US and EU.

Is it to many cadets not enough DE FO or just generally crap conditions that drive everyone away before they get to a cmd?

Go back and read the past threads about working for these guys. Company owned and run by LKH and the attitudes toward staff havent changed, hence they cant keep pilots.

There is no shortage of turbine qualified pilots in Australia who could easily meet the experience criteria for any regional airline here - or most places for that matter.
But it would appear that either the locals don't want to work for the conditions on offer or:
(CONSPIRACY THEORY HERE) certain companies would rather 'own' their staff by having them shackled to a 457 Visa, which is employer-specific.
They haven't yet got to grips with the idea that the hassle of importing a pilot, getting him/her up to speed on the local scene, through the CASA malarkey etc does not save money when the same pilot moves on after the shine of living in exciting Australia wears off.
But it's great way to spend a couple of years seeing the country and being (sort of) paid for it Just check the bond arrangements first!.

Just from my research crap conditions compared to the other regionals. They have a lot of cadet FO's who don't have the requirements for a command too.

Probably a little bit of 'all of the above'.

Pay is substandard to other turbo-prop organisations, if I were to work there for 15 years, I would never reach the pay that I am on now and I fly less than half the yearly hours.
