Question Hour building with PPL license for free

If I had a PPL license would I be aloud to do voluntary work for a company that offers private pilots to people as long as I wasn't getting paid?

I am considering getting my PPL license in a few years after college and will only have a budget of £10000 and want to make sure there is a way to build hours without having to shed a load more cash before I do it.

Thanks for any replies,
Sam.

You cannot get paid on PPL license in any way - including free air time - as unfortunate as it sounds. You can, however (within some limitations and provisos) do club work - like glider towing and parachute drops, but in order to be involved in this activities you need to have quite a fair bit of time already. So you best bet would be cost sharing flights - find mates who are interested in flying and fly together, each paying an equal share.

If you meet their requirements try angelflight.org.au.

Sam. You are in the wrong forum - this is the Australian Forum.

I think you need this Forum: Professional Pilot Training (includes ground studies) - PPRuNe Forums
