He's on Facebook, I think he's still around Sydney. Not only was he an excellent controller and cricketer, he also had a great general knowledge - the "almanac".

Both my brother and I worked with Lane in Maslings. Our livers are still in recovery phase. I caught up with him in Oxnard California in 2002 and again in 2004. In the period between those two visits he contracted cancer and passed away not long after I saw him in 2004. Very entertaining fellow and great company. Have some photos from those visits if you're interested.
