She was at Oshkosh 2 years ago - enjoyed her presentation, very inspiring.

Thumbs up

Jessica Cox isn't just a pilot but she is the World’s First Armless Licensed Pilot.
I liked this line from the post: “Creativity+Persistence+fearlessness=Nothing is impossible”

Thanks for sharing the link

Interesting. She flies an ERCO Ercoupe - an aircraft designed in the 40s which doesn't have rudder pedals. The rudder is interconnected to the ailerons and nosewheel for turn co-ordination and ground steering through the wheel.

I would guess her licence is endorsed with an aircraft limitation to account for that.

I wonder how it handles crosswinds?

.........................Christ how trivial are the things in our so called normal life are when we see this amazing woman!
I feel we ought to be grateful, feel lucky but when you really think about it in many ways Jessica is the lucky one here, she turns an obvious disability into a huge positive where we 'normal' people would see it as a disadvantage!

Go get 'em girl we stand aside for you to show us the way
