100% reCommended by me personally. Rod and Leonie run a great operation. I occasionally fly with Rod for one thing or another. He does a great running commentary for passengers as well.
Their success rate in seaplane enabled marriage proposals is about 99% as well.

Great operator it would seem with nothing but good feedback. I've never heard a negative thing about them. Rod is a really nice guy and always finds the time for a chat with anyone that wants to know more.

Thanks for all the positive replies, just what I wanted to hear.
Just waiting on good weather / sea state and me being available
at the same time.
Will take some photos and post them up here when the trip is done
Cesspool
Have always loved flying, ever since I did UK - Aust and return 6 times a year for 5 years as a teenager plus one trip doing aerobatics and what flights we did in the military,
thankfully when the rules weren't as strict as they are now !

Regarding Sea-State, I've seen the Cessna from Williamstown operate in some pretty atrocious water conditions, so she must be a sturdy machine. There wouldn't be a lot of days in that are that would ground him at a guess.
If I'm not mistaken there are two airframes for the operation, with haul-out for maintenance at Patterson river? One is worked on whilst the other corrodes away, they swap it out and the cycle continues. Must be a costly exercise one can only imagine.

VH
Not sure where they actually take off from but Leonie mentioned
sea state when talking to her on the phone.
We used to launch from Gem Pier for military training exercises and
even a short way outside of the little harbour it can get pretty rough
so it will be interesting to see.

VHS xxx not true Rod has two cessnas one with wheels, one with floats and never the twain shall meet.
The wheeled one is for travel to his country place, the seaplane has just been overhauled.
Rod takes off from hobsons bay which always has flat water somewhere, despite what the waves in the rest of the bay are doing.

Another recommendation here for Rod. I flew I did some training with him and would definitely recommend him. He looks after his ship and his passengers as well.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
