RFDS B200 VH-MSU
Noticed on another web page that this long time RFDS employee has retired to the USA.
One of the first B200's to be purchased by the RFDS(NSW Section) back in 1988, leading to the phasing out the Nomad's! Used to hear it going in out of places like Ivanhoe and cancelling SAR with Broken Hill FSU on HF.

MSU was # 48 off the B200C prod line, first registered as VH on 20 DEC 1988. Cancelled on 16 JUL 2012, as sold to USA as N48Q. Interesting, that the new owner has a fleet of various model King Air's, including N55A, the ex VH-FDA, also a B200C # 55, which was the NSCA VH-NSD prior to RFDS (Q) service.

Surprises me the RFDS has let it go.They don't like parting with their king airs cos they reincarnated MSZ numerous times despite it been on its death bed many a time.

Hey Wally, still think old B200 better than one of them single engine PC-12's!
What airframe are they using on the Tasmanian contract now that MSU as gone?
