I've won lotto!!!!
That's what I will be saying tomorrow morning after the $30M draw tonight.
Therefore my question is: what is the fastest and longest ranging single-pilot IFR business jet? I know the Citation IV does 450kts but not sure if it is SPIFR? Maybe the Phenom 300? Obviously the TBM850 has to be up there, but then again it only has one fan. But you could trade some speed for long legs plus the ability to carry all your mates in a PC-12. Or you could do the obvious and go the B250 King Air. Nice plane to take you and your mates on the shooting/fishing trip and still have room for the meat/fish/trophies.
Then again maybe you could go old school and a Beech Staggerwing or a Lockeed 12 might fill the duties. What about a nice Spitfire, Mustang, Sea Fury (nothing like the sound of a Centaurus belting passed at 400kts!) What about new build FW190?
Maybe you like upside down, a new Pitts S-2C or Extra 330 or MX2 or if you want to be by yourself, an MXS-R? Give Matt Hall a run for his money? But you would need a support plane and a DC3 would definitely fill that niche.
Anyway you guys may as well save your money on a ticket, because these are the questions I will have to ponder and come up with a solution to tomorrow morning. If you ask nicely I might even let you sit in the cockpit of whichever aero planes I buy. And make engine noises!!!
Good luck, but not too much!!
Cheers
CB

Nice nearly new King Air will do me + 2 pilots to fly whenever I want to go somewhere.
Have to be a Quest Kodiak for me and a new Otter for my skydive club.
I'll take a G650 please. Wait, $30M may not be enough?
Christ if you've got any real brains ya would just hire a jet complete with hostie:-)
Wouldn't take long for that $30Mill to evaporate owning a jet with all yr new found 'mates' hangin' on!
Anyway what's $30 Mill, pilots earn that in a few short years as it is

Hope you didn't buy your ticket from a Nigerian via email! My winning ticket says the draw is tomorrow night
Now I have only slightly less chance of winning than someone who did buy a legit ticket!!!

Buy a PC/12 and fly it back from Austria via Nigeria. It would be rude not to say thank-you.
Oh can you say hello to my long lost brother the Prince? I haven't heard from him since I sent the $5,000 to him to open the bank account......

I'm with morno, I think the Beech Premier 1 fits with the original criteria. Nice looking bus
But I think in that class, I might just buy a Merlin.
As for alternatives....in no particular order.
Quest Kodiak. Seriously load capable.
Late Cherokee 6 with nice appointments. Nothing like the Family truckster for hauling a large load slowly.
Questaire Venture. Ok, only 2 seat, but goes like a bat out of hell on not a lot of power.
If i got something from the second list, I'd also have to buy a Harvard or wirraway, get that round engine tail dragger exp to later step up to a Boomerang or Sea Fury...or even a bearcat

I believe, that the Premier 1 Beechjet may hold that title. Willing to be proven wrong though.
I'd like the Honda Ha-420 Jet, not bad for $3.5 mil.

Cliches...
In a debate like this, I am reminded of the time honoured mantra -
If it flys, floats or f@#ks, its going to cost you...
That being said, I'll take VH-BUR or the turbine powered aerostar!

Ahh lotto, the tax on people who are bad at maths...
I'd have a Kingair and a Tiger Moth, and a nice property in SEQ with a big enough runway for the Kingair.
And a Queenslander style homestead with verandahs, a kitchen wing and fireplaces.
And a pony.

It is refreshing to see some humor and light heartedness on here for a change
Personally I would give the job away, some to the family and MAYBE a P-51 or some such.
Good luck!
