NAV Question
If can have help with the below please , and how do you come to the answer? eg is there a rule for a particular question like this, do you find the Great Circle track on a particular side? or? ..thanks!
You are operating on a Great Circle track between S 46 ° W 120 ° and S 46° W 160 ° . When crossing the W 140° longitude, the latitude indicated on your IRS would be?
A) on S 46°00'
B) IRS will not give you latitude readout
C) South of S 46°00' latitude
D) North of S 46° 00' latitude

I think what they are testing that that circles described as constant latitude are not great circles unless they are on the equator.
