Sporty's Pilot Shop Ipad Apps any value for AUS?

Hi All!

I just came across some of Sporty's Pilot Shop iPad apps like "VFR Pilot Communications" or "Takeoffs and Landings".

I was wondering if these are useful as a study aid for an AUS PPL?
Or are US rules (very) different from AUS?

Any experience?

US rules are indeed very different to Aussie rules. For a start they are mostly practical, easy to understand and easy to find.
