Hi there
Can anyone give me some insight into Gil Layts flying school at acherfield QLD,
I would like to know if they are still around and ifso what r they like to train with,
All posts I have found are two years old.
Any info is appreciated!!!!

Haven't been in there for many years, but a few years ago when I went in to inquire about my CPL. The place was full of cigarette smoke, unsure how any of the staff or students actually managed to breathe in there. I said I initially wanted to do my GFPT, he told me it wasn't achievable 20 hours, infact he'd never seen anybody solo in less than 15. His aircraft were old, and the rates weren't far off RQAC. However, the atmosphere itself was good, availability of aircraft was excellent and back then he did not charge for briefings.
