Vale Dean Young

We have been advised of the sudden passing of a colleague from a short and aggressive illness. Dean joined V Australia as a CRFO in 2008 and moved across to the VA B737 fleet at the end of last year as a FO.

My thoughts are with the family Dean leaves behind.

RIP my friend.

Dean: you were a hell of a nice guy to work with and great company on overnights. Pints down at the Dubliner in Long Beach wont be the same without you.

Will be sadly missed.

Damn! Dean was on my last flight to LA 2 years ago. Spent hours chatting in the bar on board.

RIP mate.

Is that the same Dean Young that used to work at BAe/Ansett academy in Tamworth?

Dean was instrumental in ensuring that CRFO's at Virgin had a voice in the recent Long Haul EBA and all CRFO's both present and future owe him a debt of gratitude for the work he did on their behalf.

Rest Easy Big Fella, Job well done

Bugger. I worked with him at Tamworth but hadn't heard anything of him since shortly after I finished there. Often wondered what became of him. How sad.
