Hi Guys,

50 Knots forecast for NZWN tomorrow (Saturday)...when does cargo loading operations stop?

Cheers

Sorry mods, this probably should have been in Questions...feel free to move.

Careful what you say. Some people think ANZ will have trouble flying into the Sunshine coast Airport. How will ANZ cope with windy Wellington??? The mind boggles

Only 50 knots? phhht. Just a light Welly breeze really.
I think a lot of cargo doors have a 40 knot limit.

A320 ops up to 60kts, however can't open cargo door if above 40kts, unless into wind or on leeward side then 50kts. Cabin door no probs up to 65kts but think the baggage containers would be blown away by then.

When it blows the aircraft away from the aerobridge, you know it is getting to the upper limits.
