Although I held a CPL when I worked for a cattle-station, the previous pilot before me didn't. That person was the station pilot, and got paid for it, and worked their little backside off too.
Thats all perfectly above board.
Don't get confused between a "private operation for which no AOC is required" (ie PPL pilot) and your own hobby flying.
There's a much bigger world out there.

What's about flightsimmers? Your missing out on spotters too, they get lots of fatigue standing around taking all those photo's?
Those last 2 were sarcastic suggestions in case it's a bit subtle. People flying on private licences don't come under commercial op's so they don't have to comply.

Yoo be right Mr 44 cepting............................if you do quite a few hours and are getting towards your limit and have to travel somewhere, our "Authorities" tell us if you fly privately that must be included in your flight and duty times. Say 3 hours in an aircraft is included and could put you in a "Dangerous" flight hours total but driving a car all night is quite acceptable? Another example is if you enjoy flying for recreation and fly professionly getting towards your limit, if you enjoy say gliding and spend your day off gliding, some "Authority officials" want you to include that time on your work flight and duty times.

I don't know if others feel the same as I do, but I never participate in any survey if I can not review all of the questions before I start to answer.
I logged on to yours and could not review the questions.
It might be interesting to review how many people commenced the survey and did not proceed past the first page. If that is possible.
