RIP Steve Searle

Steve Searle who collected a large assortment of warbirds and vintage aircraft together with his dream flying museum facility called "Wirraway Field" near Beaudesert has passed away from cancer.

Obviously a blow to his family but also a big one to the Warbird community.

RIP Steve

RIP Steve

It was literally a standing room only service yesterday at Allambe Memorial Gardens. We didn't get the flyby of the Warbirds at Allambe but we DID get a fly by at Bill's place at Southport at the Wake - it was tears all round - a very sad day for all of us but we focused on the good times. There were many good times with Steve .. school days at Aspley High - going flying at RQAC in the late sixties - Army days during the Vietnam Era - and many many more - As Steve said many times " Aim high in life and NEVER EVER EVER give in"
