Cairns ATC Drinks 2011
For anyone who's flown into, out of, over, around, through, near, somewhere in the vicinity of, or has heard of, Cairns this year....
Cairns ATC are putting on our annual aviation industry drinks on the 2nd December, 1700L at the North Queensland Aeroclub (Cairns Airport), Bush Pilots Ave, Cairns.
Beer, wine, soft drinks, war stories and good looking controllers provided free of charge.
All welcome!

35 years ago, we use't a send a carton or two to the Brissy Tower at Christmas in appreciation, for the Special VFR clearances for our commuter operation during the year. ('Course we didn't have all the other user-pays Terminal expenses, back then..)

And who could forget the 42 orbits around Double Island while waiting for the many, many, many, Sky Gods to approach and land while in the circuit, or the explanation to Tower as to why your PA38 appeared to be spinning inverted above said Island in the late 80's..... ahhh the good old days.
