AN-2 at Moorabbin ?
Was driving past Moorabbin when I saw from the distance two aircraft in the circuit, one red and white and the other yellow, both travelling VERY slowly. As I got closer, spotted a yellow AN2 on final for 31 with that looked like white or light grey engine cowls. Didn't see the red and white aircraft again and was wondering if it was one too.
Apparently there's only a couple of these around, would this have been the yellow one from QLD ?

I dont think the three brothers have painted theres but if they have it should be a fast paint scheme. But with all the QF trouble at the moment I would expect two of them to be busy flying helping out the backlog. Any pictures available.
Big Bird, VH-CCE is down in Victoria for the summer apparently, going to be running joyflights out of Lilydale.

Ok we all love a bit of fuel to noise conversion, so my mate Seppo and I had to do a bit of ritualistic fuel to noise sacrfices to the radial engine gods
Enjoy

We were doing an endorsement on Saturday, Lilydale was a bit wet after heavy rain.
Attached is a picture at Moorabbin having a break with two little helpers, who came out to visit.

Emkaytee Antonov AN2 - VH YNT, Why Not! is after a year from a being in the country about to get its C of A.
Was brought buy a group of people that thought we should get an AN2! it was over a few beers.
We have no real use for it but love it!
If you have a spare 15K you can buy a share we are 2 short - hence the year wait.

What happened to the 2 AN-2s ex Airmark Singapore that were sent to Oz last year ?
I spent 3 weeks pulling them apart with some Ukranian engineers
The tyres had been flat for 3 years , they pumped right up and held air , try that with a western made tyre.
I was really impressed with the AN2 , really well thought out design and well put together rugged flying truck

I can highly recommend the use of using car carrying ships for the transport of medium size aircraft and helis , a lot less hassle than flat racks !

Fair chance I will do my entire PPl in the AN2, rather wipe the bugs of an AN2 than a C150!
Crz at about a 100 knots with 1,500 kilo of ?? to say Birdsville for $500ish an hour.
I did not know what 1 looked like a few years ago, but now we have it LOVE it!!
