Brindabella Pan call

Brindabella Pan call
Just heard Brindabella 325 give a Pan call after takeoff out of Cobar. Reason given was a cargo door warning light on, & pilot suspected rear cargo door may be slightly ajar. Aircraft is back in the circuit area for a landing now.

CADETS? looxury!
It was one of those pesky GA Pilots with all their bad habits that certainly left the door ajar!
Tsk tsk, now the union is claiming outsourcing is the reason for the error. If they continue to spruke such unreasonable claims, we will be forced to issue sourkraut for all crew meals.
Managements worlds best practice plan in allowing the Pilots to be taught how to land the aeroplane certainly saved the day. 2000% payrise imminent.
Pat yourself on the backs fellas, without management insisting in highly trained cadets to world best practice standards, the Pilots could never have landed the aeroplane and the world would have ended.
CASA officials could not be reached for comment. There was an iPad giveaway at the chairmans lounge which required regulator oversight in the interests of air-safety at the time.
Meanwhile the ATSB is investigating. The report should be completed in 2026.

We could speculate all day about the pilot's actions and how it could have been prevented, but have a bit of respect guys.
I mean, the crew have probably only just finished their first beers of the night and you guys are all carrying on about what went wrong! Wait for the report.

Classic!
C'mon guys, please have some respect for the families of these pilots!!
I have recently got my PPL at Basair, and you defiantly cannot blame the pilots, this is a maintenance problem, as i've have seen this happen time and time again in my C152! I cannot work out exactly what has happened, as I have flown this route many many times on Microsoft flight simulator and this has never happened to me.
I agree with the above though...Mod turb below 5000' - this pilot obviously has no meaning of the word airmanship!
Gosh you lounge chair pilots and your guessing, it is time you left the ATSB to do their job!
Also... can someone advise me of the best noise cancelling headset... Bose or Lightspeed???

I was expecting to read another metro driver got the prop on the locks in flight again.
Getting them on the locks in flight is not the hard bit though, it's actually very simple for the average dimwit.
Getting them off the locks in flight, well that is in the realms of a fast track ace out west
One brave Pilot did try......something about low level aerobatics in a metro springs to mind. First Pilot ever to get out of a metro who wasn't sweating cause they were hot! Something about cold sweat rings a bell
