A good bit of KFS' flying is for Rio Tinto.
According to Rio's standard for turbine acft <5700
PIC - ATPL, 2500TT, 1500PIC, 500 Multi, 300 Turbine, 100 on contract type.

They usually operate their B200s as single pilot but occasionally see them with two crew. Don't know whether that is for ICUS or just doing route checks.

Probably the best GA operator to get a gig with in WA.

Try Heliwest also, they operate the Twotter for Fortescue Metals.

Know a bloke over there who can't speak highly enough of KFS. A crowd that treats their staff well, values (and rewards) loyalty and a job well done, operates well maintained aircraft and offers a career path.

I understand they fly for more than Rio. Their clients include a fair swag of other resource companies as well.

Probably the best GA operator to get a gig with in WA.
That just about sums it up.

If you don't mind remote living in an expensive location, then go for it.

Some Rio flights will require two crew as part of the contract.

Thank you for your interest in Karratha Flying Services. Due to client requirements we do not normally consider applicants with less than 1,500 hours total command and 300 hours multiengine command. If you remain interested in a position at KFS, please update your details with us as you approach these minimum requirements.

In the meantime, I wish you all the best with your aviation career.

Stupid multi time requirements....
