No you are not blind....I can't find them either. Even if it was included in the notes tab when you click on the 'i' icon. There are no ATC frequencies or other stuff either
The FD App is rather lacking in quite afew areas. I prefer the Jepp Approach plates and use them.
For everything else I use the OzRunways app.

Hey guys,
So the aip (atc, met, terminal etc) sections come with the 280 buck package or is that just ercs, plates and tacs? I'm trying to get the books on my pad, dont want the plates and charts.. Anyone done this?

22k,
I don't think you can download only 'the books'.
Manuals are selectable, in that one selects which if any, to download. But I've not noticed any select ability of charts.

I've just joined the iPad revolution by purchasing an ipad2 wi-fi. Has anyone been able to successfully pair a Bluetooth GPS receiver with the iPad to run their own ship position? I was hoping to get my location showing up on Jeppesen FD and other apps such as Oz Radar. I thought I'd check it will work first before I splash out $100+ on a receiver. Sounds like it works ok on ozrunways but wasn't sure about jepp FD.

Used the DualXGPS150 via Bluetooth the other day with iPad2 in flight mode, (Bluetooth on of course) and it worked great with Jepps and Oz runways.

I add my vote to the dual x GPS150. Works well - and more importantly leaves your iPad/Iphone docking port free (and means if you need to charge both iPad/iphone and dual x Gps they can be plugged into another power supply inflight should they require it via a small battery pack)

Hi Ando, If you're looking for the Dual xgps 150 there are all the usual places as you know. If you want it new from the agent, then the best I've found so far is Expansys in Hong Kong. Shipping an additional $15 registered post, 10 days + or $30 Fedex -4 days.
Amazon won't ship it to Aus.

I take that all back, USER waypoints are fine IF you can guess where to poke your finger, and then you can not adjust the Lat and Long.
In Australia when so many places are not in the Jepp system, you need a decent USER waypoint system.
OzRunways, still a better app overall, although the Jepp will allegedly show your plane on a airport diagram now, but that was never really a biggie.

I recommend the GNS 5870 iPad GPS. Has a very cool 'swipe on / swipe off' interface and a good signal.
Jaba, when I lasy played with Jepp TC I found it annoying that i couldn't have the whole chart displayed at once, but had to scroll to to bottom to see the Minima details etc, has this been fixed.
Also I can't seem to find pricing on the Jepp website, how much do you pay for a 12 month subscription mate?

Mobile FD you can zoom in and out, so yes that is all good.
As for how much, Jepp View is what you buy, maybe $200+/- a bit.
The ipad app is free.

Phone Jepps in Canberra.
They are pretty helpful, and on a scale out 1-10 for service in Canberra, about 9.5
But when you are in Canberra, it is not hard to shine!
