Aviation Art:Air Ambulance Queenair & B200

These aircraft were used for patient transfer between major cities to regional centres. Both paintings are 20x25cm acrylic on stretched canvas.

Sydney based, this aircraft is now hanging from the ceiling of the Sydney Powerhouse Museum.

One of the four B200s based at Essendon.

Don't kid yourself Jaba. There is more going on in "The Forktailed Musterer" than any other work that I have seen to date!

Aye Ess, were these commissioned works? or are they available for sale? If they are available I will forward this thread onto some people who might be interested, in particular the first one...

Howard hughs, you can forward away. I'll PM you so as not to degenerate this thread into an infomercial.

Thanks all for your comments. I'm still amazed at peoples reactions to my passion of aviation art. Anyhoo, these two paintings make up a series of 4 medical aeroplanes. The next 2 I'm currently painting are the RFDS Drover & PC12. When completed I'll post them for Pprune critique.

"AE" if ya gunna do a PC12 painting can ya make sure it's shown as sitting on the ground as I don't want to risk logging on here & having a look at yr fine art work only to have the damn thing falling out of my puter screen here & hit my keyboard
It's dangerous enuf as it is

Awww, wally, you make this old artist laugh. Actually it is on the ground, but just so I can get a 3 dimensional effect from the ground shadow.

I suspect from your comment, there is also the sound of a can of worms being opened

"AE" my SE buddies in here know I love the PC so I am using some of yr 'artistic license' here to keep the SE v Twin debate alive & well hidden amongst these innocuous pages so the school yard bully modes don't spot it

Here is a painting of the view I had for about 3 hours last week from YBHI to YCAB.
