Well that might work in theory, but not in the real world. Was at YCAB twice recently and the card swipe "declined" all cards offered. Press the help button on the bowser, no help. Call the help-line by phone, listen to recorded message about how (large Dutch multi-national oil company) values my call, then eventually a real person answers.
Chimbu, the same thought crossed my mind today as I stood there reading the operating instructions & who to contact if something went wrong. What the hell are a company that is in the capital city several hundred k's away going to do? With my installation I had to fix things myself if something went wrong, or (very rarely I might add) get hubby to give me a hand.

Maybe theres an opening there for you there DF, official caterer!
I seriously doubt if the traffic from Birdsville will ever get back to making that option worthwile. I think the last time before I was shut down there were less than five aircraft came back on the Sunday.

Gee 'DF" I haven't been into LC since the late 90's in either a C404 or a PA42 on the way back from around Oz doing rich folk tours:-) I must have come across you as everyone talks about you
I'd hate to be buying fuel these days in outback Oz, dearer than gold!

Were you doing the Rod Dyer trips? Rego of the PA-42 would have been NMA & C404's would have been TTK or TTZ if my memory serves me correctly. Those who really know me know how much I love the sound of a pair of GTSIO's!

Wally, I still dream I'm out there at times! Do you know if Rod Dyer's still going or has he left us? The last time I saw his son he said his dad's health was failing.
