You could just chuck 'em in a box, seal it up and send 'em as freight......
.....but if that don't work for you, install rated automotive seats with appropriate tie-points and 5-point harnesses for the littlies.....
and appropriate-sized car booster seats with the standard lap/sash as they get bigger....
which can also usually be taken onboard airlines.
For the infant lap belts - legal, yes, but appropriate? Hmmmmm. If you must go that path, then this mob are pretty good Aviation Belts and Harnesses - Passenger Restraints

Just to revive this thread. Im in the process of fitting a standard capsule with the 3 point fitting. The lap belt fits nicely on the bottom it's the 3rd tie point that is a problem (or not in my case) as in my aircraft has a strong tie down point in the correct place to hold the 3rd tie aft middle tie of the capsule. In my case i have the sash type hooks aft of the rear seats and with a belt strung between them a correctly placed and very strong (as strong as the original seat belt) would be in place. My question is.
Under CAAP 235-2 It states in 4.5
If the securing of a child seat in an aircraft involves more than using the aircraft lap belt, the design of the installation must be approved as a modification to the aircraft under regulation 35.
But as securing it in this case does not require a modification just some threading of the existing seat belt hooks. Is this a modification under regulation 35.
And if it is a modification what would my lame submit a drawing of a couple of belts rapped around each other ?
