206 Amphib forced water landing on Moondarra.
Heard on Ctr yesterday. An Amphib 206 from Isa to Kunners.
Made a Pan call for 'fluctuating power', followed a couple of seconds later by a Mayday.
The bloke sounded very calm and collected throughout it all, splashed down on Moondarra, (approx 10nm North of Isa), and advised Ctr both onboard where unharmed.
Handy it gave up where it did I'd say!
Good job that man, (whoever you are?)

Heard it was not an amphib but a sea plane.
Was on delivery from Sydney to Kununarra.
Not a lot of landing sites in-between for a sea plane.
Lucky indeed it let go where it did.
Good outcome, buy a lottery ticket!!
