CO2 hysteria used to restrict airports

.....

This 'paper' is about Canberra airport, though methinks the climate muppet's will want to inflict the same nonsense on an airport near you...

https://www.tai.org.au/index.php?q=n...88&act=display

“…New airport developments and airport master plans should also be subject to formal statutory environmental assessment procedures that require the evaluation of the greenhouse implications of the relevant actions and related increases in aviation traffic…” Pg. 2

“…as part of its climate change strategy the ACT Government has established an interim target of stabilising the Territory’s emissions at 2000 levels by 2025…” Pg. 16

Isn't grass supposed to be a good 'carbon bank'..??

No, not 'that' grass....airport grass.... silly...

So, most airports have already done this and pre-prepared for the doom and gloom of those pesky carbons eminating from those pesky fossil fuel burning contraptions in which ALL of the Pollies' travel....

Don't see much airport grass around YSSY these days.....that's it...'CLOSE SY' IMMEDIATELY!!!

Residential lawns & gardens would soak up the nasties. So,sell airport adjacent land for houses. Neighbors then complain about those dangerous aeroplanes. Airport closes down & presto,we are all safe.
