Undercover Boss

Just finished watching Chairman/CEO of Frontier Airlines working on the ramp incognito. A real moving 1hr program on Channel 1 in New Zealand. This episode should be mandatory airline Management viewing and included in the CRM showbag.

TV Highlights

A real moving 1hr program on Channel 1 in New Zealand
Followed by :
1930: 'Farmer needs a Sheep' - A touching love story about a farmer, a sheep and a tub of hand lotion. (Keep the tissues close by)
2030: 'Survivor South Island' - Watch as airline CEO's from Quntas, Air New Zuland and Jitstar jostle, plot and and decieve as many staff as possible in their quest to become South Islands sole Top Management survivor and take home a million KPI points. (Unreal viewing bro)
2130: 'Two And a Half Inches' - Smutty comedy about two airline executives called Alfonze and Geoffrey and their young protege Bruce going through life screwing ever worker in their path. (Fictional characters only)
2245: 'Stop Gear' - Action packed comedy/documentary/reality tv show about 3 buffoons testing both their new and prehistoric aircraft to the limit. (sponsored by Rolls Royce)
2345: 'Biggest Loser Aviation' - Watch as executive managers do all they can to compete with each other to shed as many staff, expenses, morale, spare parts and wage increments over 3 fun filled months. The executive with the most disconnected and thinly structured workforce wins the title.

Happy viewing !

Gold Cactus,

You forgot the 0100 screening of 'Vigilante Pilots'. A group of pilots living on the edge working for a regional and a LCC decide to take matters in their own hands. Harrison Ford plays the fugitive CEO.

Seriously how about a mandatory screening of every single Air Crash investigation for every single person in the industry including those in the Senate Enquiry. Everytime I watch it jogs my memory of what can happen and how the smallest things cause the biggest problems.

I saw this a few weeks back. Not very emotional Although I did find it interesting that at the end, in front of the workforce, the CEO announced that they would get the 10% pay cut back that was forced on them. Although over three years! To huge applause and tears.

I'd pay good money to see Alan Joyce on the ramp for a week.
