Aviation Art

I have had quite a few PMs from Pprunites wanting to see more of my aviation art,so here is a small collection of my obsession. The colours & sharpness are MUCH better in real life. Dunno where the quality goes when I put them on the poota.

This is a commission by a young fella as a gift for his dad who used to own this a/c....so,if you know the previous owner....DON'T TELL HIM.

The blue colour here has not displayed correctly. On the actual painting it is MUCH darker.

Awesome work. If you are open to suggestions or ideas, one of my favourite memories is riding in a Caribou skimming over the headland at Lennox Head and down the coast on a clear summer evening. Might be a nice image with them being retired now.

Cheers,
Bundy

Awesome work, however am I the only one that cringed at the 2 impending mid-airs?

Thank you all so much for your encouraging comments....I am SO amazed that you like them.

Jaba....yes,can do. When you are ready PM me,so that we don't upset the Pprune Gods by degenerating this thread into an 'infomercial'

Sgt Bundy...

This image is very fuzzy as it's a photo of a photo because it sold about 6 months ago to a lady who had a relative who used to work on them.

Supermona.....the 2 DHC6 a/c are travelling in the same direction,so if speed is maintained, the intersection of airframes would be remote (having said that pilots of ferrying a/c do have fun at times...nuff said)

Capt Claret.....you know,I thought the exact same thing

Superdimona....my apologies. You mean the painting with the hang glider. That was just a muck around piece I did for my own enjoyment. The landscape is turning final rwy14 Coolangatta (now called Gold Coast). The flight deck is B767. The hang glider is purely a figment if my imagination & in no way depicts an actual event.

Thank you 717tech,

Very kind words. I guess your title indicates your a/c type? I used to fly the MD80s of Swissair.

Anyhoo, art details coming to a PM near you shortly, please stand by.

Alan.

Nice one, too many wheels on the up-going wing of the Q400 though

Negative Gobo, look closely, the nose wheels are directly in front of the left mains from the position of the 'painter'
