Help wanted: TAA Fokker Friendship.

Did the F27 of TAA have a tail logo light?

I am an artist who specialises in aviation art. I was inspired by a related thread about Ansett & the F27,so,I am painting a TAA F27 in cruise at dusk. I was around at the time TAA operated the F27,but,I can't remember it having a tail logo light.

Just want the art work to be authentic.

Thanks in advance,

Alan.

I think the nine and 727 were the first withlogo tail lights. Didn't have them on the Fokker

Thanks everyone. The painting is almost finished, without logo light (more the pity because it would have looked more dramatic). If I can work out how to use my new DSLR,computer,& photobucket,I will put a piccy up of it.

Well, thank you cac_sabre,I am truly flattered that you think it worthy of prints, however, as I am a 'newby' in the field of aviation art I sell them as originals. Maybe as I get more prolific with my art,I will go down the track of doing prints.

Alan.

cac_sabre builds very detailed models.

He wants your print so he can produce a model TAA Dog Whistle!

You two should get together - you'd have a thriving business in aircraft models and art!

The Hagen Park Hotel in Mt Hagen, PNG used to have some of the finest aviation art I've ever seen. One wall was covered with a painting containing virtually all the aircraft that operated in PNG. The artist was Dennis ?????

That was 25 years ago, I guess it has gone now.

Cracking stuff Aye Ess.

TW. Does cac_sabre models have a web site. All I get on searches is Commonwealth Aircraft Factory Sabre - as you'd sort of expect.

No Cac Sabre Website.. yet anyway

TAA Dog whistle can be made straight out of the Airfix box, it has an excellent TAA decal sheet (you do have to modify a few bits and pieces if you are fussy) For Ansett dog whistle lovers, there are decals available for you too as well as East West and MMA supersonic swan.

Alan, have you got a website or somewhere with photos of your art for us to look at? You just could get a few orders

Thanks Tasdevil, no I don't have one of those www thingies,I always think that is for further down the track. Probably cause I really don't understand all this new technology.

Anyhoo,I have had PMs from others wanting to see more samples of my art,so,instead of trying to send individual pictures,I'll encourage my Gen Y son to put together some piccys & post them here on a new thread. (Note: he IS Gen Y, so as to when he does it is something I can't estimate)
