YPJT pilot wins pay back

WA workers win back pay - The West Australian

Looks like a pilot out at YPJT decided to stand up for what is right and managed to get nearly $7k from it?!

Article doesn't say who the company was? Will ask around

Asked around.... No surprises DC and KC at it again

Also hear there are numerous ex-staff talking to FWO and ATO now due to unpaid leave and super.

Some things will never change

Let me guess. They were employed as "contractors"?

Pilot wasn't employed as a "contractor" was full-time (so I am told) having said that one of the "contractor's" told me this

Just wondering how this contractor is affording to pay for their own super, insurance, workers comp etc and then put 2min noodles on the table? $15-$20/hr rather be on the dole

This mob have been up to their armpits in it for years.

I remember them charging guys for ICUS while doing commercial charters in their 210 to Shark Bay.

Talk about double dipping.

I wonder if the clients knew that they were doing this? Or that their Pilot was paying to fly them?

I remember the owners wife trying to tell the boys how to fly the aeroplane, how much fuel they needed and all the rest of it, she did not even have a Pilots licence (that I know of).

GA at it's finest.

Next door was not to much better, although they are no longer with us!

Def not a contractor. Was back in the days when there was mostly full-time employees.

Different now - but still a couple of full-timers.

Good to see someone standing up for their entitlements. Good stuff

Let that be a lesson to everyone else that it can be done.

I didn't know KC had a wife!!

I'm not sure how they are still operating they seem to have more than their fair share of serious incidents over the last couple of years...

Would someone in the know on here please PM me and tell which people and companies are involved so I can be sure to avoid them as I'm currently looking for a flying job. Any info on other JT operators to avoid much appreciated also.
All info kept in strictest confidence .
Thanks.

Not wanting to give the names directly out (thought DC and KC was pretty obvious).

Plus the fact that people were saying there have been numerous crashes lately with this organisation. The eagle training aircraft being the latest - this this really gives it away?

If not the company in question are also the only ones to operate a C340 on the field.

Just not a fan of naming names

It is not too hard aussie to work out who it is. As of late their aircraft have not been moving, lost all their contracts for breaking the Ts & Cs in them. So don't really see them sticking around for long now. More so now that a few agencies are after them

Funny how things catch up with you.

GG - never knew they had a pay for ICUS scheme though. Owner's wife (thought the wife was the owner? Well legally speaking...) has about 1hr in the eagle, but more than happy to tell you how to fly everything from the C150 to the B200.

Has the B200 stopped flying? I haven't heard it coming up to Useless loop in a while?
