Wakatipu Aero Club's 40th birthday
Despite some ups and downs (no puns intended) the Wakatipu Aero Club in Queenstown, NZ is still flying after 40 years.
To celebrate this milestone, a function is being held at the airport terminal bar on Friday 19 November, and past members/students/instructors/employees are invited to be there.
Guest speaker will be South Island aviator Jules Tapper. There will also be an aviation trivia quiz with a prize sponsored by a local watering hole.
If you'd like to attend please obtain a ticket from the club on (03) 442 3148 or [email protected] -- donation is $25.

Happy Birthday WAC!!!
It's an achievement in itself to still be around after 40yrs considering the trend with most nz aero clubs.
Great place to learn some mountain flying technique.
Bet there will be some good aviation yarns at the event

The club is advertising locally and one major newspaper is taking an interest.
However we have no means of contacting all past members directly -- we don't know where many of them are -- so that's why it's here on pprune.
Any help in getting the word out is appreciated.
