Pilots and pick up lines

Hey all,

Long time reader, first time poster...

On a lighter topic, has anyone ever tried picking a girl up by boldly stating that they are a pilot.

Just a curious thought

Yes, many a time. It normally ends up with "Ohhh, ok, well bye".

Is it school holidays in New Zealand? Or were you and your new GFPT buddies thinking about wearing your uniforms out to the night clubs this weekend?

Scene - Aero clubhouse

Pilot (white shirt and gold wings): Hi there miss, nice to meet you, can I sit here and chat for a while, you see I am a pilot,

Girl: what sort of planes do you fly?

pilot: Well, mainly C150's

Girl: What is a C150?

Pilot: Well you see those big green 4 engine planes over there?

Girl: Yeah...

Pilot: well, they are C130's, and as I said, I fly C150's
