I read on a PNG newspaper site that the PAX are all ok...had an engine failure near aloteau ...nobody hurt ....caught a bus from near shore ....to Alotau.
They were on a PNG Scuba Dive trip.
What a dissapointment for them. Poor things. But on bright side nobody is dead

There were photos on the front page of both PNG papers today,I tried to find links but couldn't.
The pilot has done a very good ditching looking at the photos and it looks as though there was very little airframe damage done as well,aircraft is in about 4 foot of water. I'd say that given the
location and the corrosion problems that the aircraft will remain at it's final resting place forever,as a salvage operation would be to costly,although the PNG authories may require the aircraft
to be removed from the water as it may end up being a hazard to boats.
The pilot was the owner from Hamilton in Western Victoria.

5 survive plane crash
SURVIVIORS of a chartered plane that was forced to make an emergency landing on a reef in the Milne Bay Province said they were lucky to escape with their lives.
Three women passengers confirmed that all of the plane’s occupants were alive in what could have been a nasty crash.
The small, single propeller plane, believed to have been carrying five Victorians on a scuba-diving holiday, landed in the sea at Lelegwagwa village 50km east of Alotau on Sunday morning.
According to Lelegwagwa villager and eyewitness Noxie Lamsen, the plane was mistaken for a speed boat coming in the direction from where the plane had landed as he was standing on the beach.
“There was a loud bang in the sky and when I looked into the sky, it was a plane in trouble looking for a safe place to land, I ran to the beach to see for myself if it was a dingy or a plane,” Lamsen said.
MILNE Bay provincial police commander Lincoln Gerari identified the pilot as Gregory Brown 49, from Hamilton in Southwest Victoria. he is also the owner of the Cessna 210 plane.
The PPC said the Australians had been visiting dive resorts in the Pacific including Vanuatu, Fiji, Solomon Islands and Tufi resort in the Oro Province.
Their plane had left Tufi Dive Resort, and was making the short trip to Alotau when it encountered engine problems.
“The pilot briefed police on Sunday that they were on their way from Tufi to Alotau when they encountered engine problems,” he said.
“The plane couldn’t climb over the ranges into Milne Bay Province and had to land on the beach.
“The three female passengers and two pilots were not injured and the plane is OK.”
Earlier this month, three Australians and a New Zealander died when their charter plane skidded off the runway in poor conditions on Misima Island, in the same province.
The New Zealand co-pilot was the only survivor.
THE Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) PNG yesterday confirmed the crash landing along the East Coast of Milne Bay on Sunday morning.
CASA has began investigations to determine the cause of the mishap into the plane that had an Australian registration however; officers with PNG CASA said the incident may have occurred because of an over-sight by CASA Australia.
