Job in General Aviation

I'm thinking of doing tall my flight training either in Oz or USA, and in the case I go for the first option I'd like to knwo how is the situation in General Aviation in Oz.
I'm from Italy, so I know that I would need a VISA to work in Oz.
I will also become a Flight Instructor so I will look for a FI job, work for a while to grow up my experience before going back in Europe.
Do you know MFS? I heard they offer you a FI job for at least 3 months and if you satisfy them you can be a full time FI. Otherwise I would look for a job in general aviation for bush flying and scenic ops.
What's the way to get this kind of job?
Flying to the North, knocking at each door, leave them an owm CV and hope?

As already said I know I need a VISA and it could be problematic to get it.

Many thanks in advance!
