Mareeba Air Show 22 Aug

It is good to see a well run country air show these days. Especially a good collection of war birds, some of which flew some distance to attend. The Roulettes as usual are good, but having 5 T28's zoom about is just great - especially the sound!!

Well done to Mike & his crew.

Hey Spirax thanks for that I will pass it on to Mike as do not think he is a PPRUNer
It is a real buzz going for a fly with an audience and agreed the T28's stole the show, as someone said it is like a symphony of chaff cutters....... you got to love it!!!

Yep, and some beautiful Aero's in the Harvard and Winjeel. A busy dance card for Harris yesterday.

For me the P40 was the best. Love the old planes.

What was also exciting for me was the Vought Corsair airframe that is being restored at the moment. Apparently it will be flying in 2015. Put me down for that one.

I use to love watching the tv show "Black Sheep Squadron" as a kid.

I want to know who I have to (insert required action) to get into that machine.

Yes, it was a good day and a good show, especially for a rural location, especially the Far North! Here are a small selection of pictures from the day.
