Qantas Frequent Flyer Points... Sharing allowed?

Hi All,

I am wondering whether anyone would know if it's possible to transfer Qantas frequent flyer points from one member to another?
I am just a bit short of points required to book a flight so was hoping that I could ask a friend of family member to lend some to me. It's only around 9000 points that I'm short by.

I'm almost certain that I can't purchase the points but thought that it may be possible to transfer them from someone else?

You can pay with points and cash if you like or you can have a family member transfer points to you. They can only transfer points once a year.
