Does anyone have any info about this strip and who I should contact for permission to use? Any other ALA's in the area and/or near Junee?
Thanks

Thanks Charlie. Google maps shows a airstrip about 2kms west of Culcairn and two Sundays ago I heard someone cancelling IFR SAR there.
Anyone else?

Not 100% sure around the culcain area but from memory there was/is an ALA about 10NM east of the The Rock. Have you considered Holbrook? it's not that far to the east from Culcain.
As for around the Junee area there is a place called federation which is about 10NM north of wagga, on the eastern side of the Coolamon rd. Now there is also a small ag operator west nor west of junee I would assume that s/he has some form of strip to use. I'm only aware of this as I travel the road north of wagga lots. (average 7-10 times return a week, mostly at night) I have only seen actual flying in the area a few time's in the last few years, doesn't mean it's not in use though. Goes by the name of crowley airways occording to a roadsign
I have not used any of these so I cant give you any further info sorry.

Helpful comment from Mrs Deaf, "Don't remember the strip but there are big silos where the railway crosses the road". It was part of navex's from Holbrook years ago and they would have details
