Where to buy Sunglasses?

Ok, so we had a thread a while ago about what types of sunglasses everyone likes to wear and why.

Some people even touched on where they bought theirs from and the fact that they got a pretty good discount from that place, so what i'm looking for is where have people been given a good deal on a good pair of sunglasses?

Definitely buy them in person - you want to see how they feel and look. I hate buying clothes and other accessories online.

Might be a stupid question but I am presuming even the cheap $20 pairs protect your eyes properly from UAV-A/B light?

Some do some don't, but it's the same with $200 sunnies, not all of then provide the protection that you would expect!

If they comply with the Australian standard they will block UV to a certain degree, there should be a category listed on the label. It's illegal to sell sunnies in Oz that don't comply, but you do see them in dodgy stores occasionally.

Black Ice Sunglasses, hats, watches
Sorry it's a commercial link, but it's better than the one on the standards website.

If you have private health insurance check and see if and how much they cover for sunnies.

I wonder if this works when landing an aeroplane in heavy rain. Must try it in the simulator first. Don your sunnies and just get a technician to pour a bucket of water over the windscreen. Disregard all the sparks from the electronics of course.

A37575 - I dont see how they'd make a difference with rain hitting your windshield? Maybe polaroids eliminating the reflection off heavy water? But then again polaroids arent recommended for flying..
