job opportunities in australia

Hello guys,

I would like to seek the advice of the seniors in this forum. I have a CAAS CPL/IR/ME with about 200 hours. I would like to instruct in Australia. However, I am not an Australian citizen.

Is there anyway I can convert my license and obtain an instructor's rating? Will there be any employment difficulties afterwards?

Any kind advice is well appreciated. Thanks.

Bad News

If you don't have the right to live or work in Australia its very unlikely that you will find a job. Not too sure about converting the license - its quite easy if you have a NZ CPL but don't know about other licenses. So basically, unless you're an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Resident- its not going to happen. There's too many unemployed pilots here already so no reason for the industry or the government to let foreign pilots in.
