Are there any security considerations here before someone answers?

Heaps of potential security considerations. Depends on who's asking and what they are asking.

The only one of those that's been in recent use in Australia is the F406 and as far as I'm aware it has a standard avionics fit with weather radar and dual GPS installation for oceanic ops.

Here's some info about the BN2T Defender from the Britten Norman website. (Note, the BN2s that were operated by Surveillance Australia were not Defenders.)

Have heard rumours of a BN2T in Tamworth with a horrendous-looking FLIR head in the nose.

...just a rumour but.

Nose mounted EOIR on BN2Ts

Modern nose mounts look really neat these days, and the turrets are compact, therefore a recently modified BN2T won't look like the bulbous nosed BN2T-4R manufactured in the late 80s early 90s...so if the rumour is true, I imagine that is why AerocatS2A says
I feel ugly just thinking about it. ??
